Arvind Kejriwal self-isolates after his wife tests positive for the virus

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita has tested positive for Covid and has therefore isolated herself at home. The Chief Minister has also isolated himself as a precautionary measure.
Several leaders from AAP have also tested positive for the virus, including Kejriwal’s deputy Manish Sisodia, State Health Minister Satyendar Jain and party spokesperson Raghav Chadha.

The capital has become the worst-hit city and has seen a spurt of cases in the recent weeks. Delhi is now under a six day lockdown till 5 a.m. next Monday. Only essential services will be allowed. According to Kejriwal, if lockdown was not imposed, there were chances of facing a bigger calamity.
Even Maharashtra has implemented strict measures like weekend and night curfews to tackle the pandemic.
India is now reeling under the second wave of the pandemic and the number of cases stands at around 1.53 crore.
