The Nobel Institute in Oslo has disclosed on its website that 305 nominations have been submitted for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize but did not disclose the names on the list. The list comprises 212 nominations from individuals, and 93 from organizations.

The identity of the candidates are always kept confidential. Those who are eligible to nominate include former laureates, lawmakers, cabinet ministers from any country in the world and some university professors.
Last year, the Nobel Peace Prize was shared by Russian human rights group Memorial, Ukraine’s Centre for Civil Liberties (CCL) and jailed Belarusian rights advocate Ales Bialiatski.
Climate activists Greta Thunberg of Sweden and Vanessa Nakate of Uganda and Iranian women’s activist Masih Almejad are believed to be on this year’s list.
