It showcased Kancheepuram sarees, white wedding sarees, lehengas, gowns, lachas, anarkalis and jackets
At the just concluded Beena Kannan Bridal Show 2018 at Ernakulam’s Bhaskareeyam Convention Centre, the designer wedding apparels presented were a windfall for Kerala’s 21st century brides. A whole new array of Kancheepuram sarees, white wedding sarees, lehengas, gowns, lachas, anarkalis and jackets were displayed on the fashion ramp by super models led by Bollywood actors Raveena Tandon & Shriya Sharan. Seematti’s customer models provided the ethnic touch. The mood board of the show focussed on seesh mahal concept influenzed by Turkish sensibilities, royal & jewellery theme and jamawar, Mughal & floral traditions. Beena Kannan, who led the creative team at Seematti’s ‘Cuts & Fits’ was the force behind the designer collection showcased after 6 months of dedicated efforts. Royal themed sarees with antique jari, golden & silver jari, tissue shimmer sarees, pastel silver sarees, antique gold jari sarees, without border sarees, jamawar designer sarees tweaked sensibly for Kerala’s brides highlighted the show.
The sarees were in new pastel tones, dark maroons, bright pinks ,reds and greens, with prices ranging between Rs.3000 and Rs.5 lakhs. At the Beena Kannan Bridal Show, the video presented narrated the story of the mesmerizing beauty Niloufer, daughter- in-law of the Nizam of Hyderabad. The video also featured Niloufer, the designer and the heroine (customer). The entire theme was an exciting visual treat for the audience.
