Five time World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand defeated Oro, one of the promising players of Argentina in a ”Clash of Generations” match. He defeated Faustino Oro 2-0 in Tuscany.

Faustino Oro is a 11 year old chess prodigy . However, he was no match for Anand’s chess skills as he went crashing down 2-0 to lose in a one-sided match. In spite of the 11 year old displaying maturity and calmness much beyond his age, he was just not good enough for the semi retired Anand.
Oro is considered to be one of the most promising players on the chess circuit. He is the youngest ever International Master in chess history and is only one out of three players to achieve the title before turning 11.
Anand played with white pieces in the first game and after 57 moves, Oro was forced to resign. In the second game, Anand had black pieces and this time too, Oro resigned.
There was a unique opening ceremony and both players were brought to the match venue in a specially designed horse drawn carriage.
