A 40 year old man from Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by the police for killing his parents after he was denied a share in the family property. A case of murder has been registered against him.

The man named Ravi Dhaka strangulated to death both his 70 year old father Surendra Dhaka and 63 old year mother Santhosh at their home. He then ransacked the house to make it appear like a robbery. He returned to the house later in the evening and pretended to be shocked by the incident. He even alerted the neighbours who called the police.
Dhaka owns a grocery store in the area and was upset as his parents decided to transfer the family property to his late brother’s wife and child. There was a misunderstanding between him and his family as he married against the wishes of his parents.
His brother Gaurav died two years ago in an accident and his wife has been taking care of his parents since then.
He had been planning the murder for some time and executed it when he got an opportunity to be alone with his parents. He is said to have confessed to the crime and a case of murder under section 302 IPC has been filed against Dhaka.
