Mantri Square Mall brings to Bangalore ‘The Wounded Earth’ a Mesmerizing Art Show curated by Jitha Karthikeyan. The opening of the art exhibition was well attended by the who’s who of Bangalore society and prominent members in the art circle. The exhibition is on view until 29th September 2023, from 10am to 10pm at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram.
The Wounded Earth is a visual presentation of our beautiful landscapes that could soon vanish forever, if we do not act now.
Speaking at the opening of ‘The Wounded Earth’, Kamakshi Mantri, Chief Strategy Officer of Mantri Developers Private Limited said “The Wounded Earth is an exciting art show curated by Jitha Karthikeyan, capturing climate change and those human activities that results in an assault on our earth, especially in the 20th and 21st centuries. Mantri Square Mall will start hosting many art shows, and we look forward to collaborating with more artists and hosting more exhibitions at our mall.”
Speaking about the ‘The Wounded Earth’, Ms.Jitha Karthikeyan, artist and curator, said “The Earth is bleeding. Red and salty. We have our quick fixes and policies in place, we proclaim. Nothing is urgent. We sleep peacefully in the belief that our climate change summits will find a way. Not knowing that we all rest our bodies on this wounded earth.”
‘The Wounded Earth’ a Mesmerizing Art Show highlights, as nature and cities and new lives grow over and cover these hurts, and traces of what has happened to our earth become buried and concealed.
