A vehicle with explosives was found abandoned near the house of Mukesh Ambani. The Mumbai bomb disposal squad towed away the green Scorpio that was found abandoned. They examined the vehicle and found some explosive material Gelatin inside the vehicle. It was not an assembled explosive device.
Investigations are going on following this incident. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the Mumbai Police Crime Branch is investigating the matter.
Security has been beefed up and Mumbai Police have deployed its security personnel outside Ambani”s home. Searches are being carried out across the city. The vehicle has been seized for investigation. A threat letter was found inside the vehicle. As per reports, the letter was a handwritten one in broken English with full of grammatical errors and was addressed to Mukesh Ambani and his wife Neeta. It was basically a threat letter calling the planted explosives as a trailer with a warning to return with more preparations to assassinate the whole family.
