DMK President M.K.Stalin went and met the parents of accident victim Rajeswari whose leg had to be amputated after an accident involving an AIADMK flagpole. While at the hospital, he handed over a cheque for Rs 5 lakhs towards the medical expenses.
He also offered to pay for a prosthetic leg if she wanted one. He came down heavily on the ruling government as they had feigned ignorance about the accident and had not taken any steps so far. Thirty old Rajeswari was riding a two wheeler. She fell off her scooter while trying to avoid a falling AIADMK flagpole after which a lorry ran over her leg. This accident comes close on the heels of an accident in which Subasri lost her life.
