Speaking on the occasion, Anil Chinnabhandar, Senior Vice President, Max Fashion commented, “The idea is to give back to society and make a change in our country. We saw the disparity of resource availability where we live, but we also recognized how a little gesture of aid can go a long way. Today, I feel proud to announce that our initiative with Goonj has culminated successfully with the collection of ten thousand garments. The collected clothes will not just be re-worn, in fact, the unusable and small pieces of clothes will further be reused and recycled under initiatives like ‘Green by Goonj’.”
Shruthi Hariharan stated, “I totally believe in sharing, as sharing is caring! It was enthralling to see people coming in huge numbers and helping their fellow humans. It feels great to see the zeal is still alive in people and it has been incredible to be a part of something so valuable.”
Customers who shared clothes were gifted saplings on World Environment Day for their contribution. Max gave out more than 2,000 saplings across the city.
