Rupa Gurunath has taken charge as President of the TNCA and will be in office for a term of 3 years. She was elected unopposed at the 87th AGM held yesterday. Rupa is happy to take on the mantle as the first woman President of the association which was headed by eminent personalities.
Her first priority is to finalise the lease agreement of the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium with the government and to reopen the three stands. She assured that all amenities would be provided to the players to improve their performance in all formats of the game. She promised to keep the game clean and said that the TNCA would not tolerate corruption and would take appropriate action on such issues.
