The body of the late Pope Francis will be kept at St. Peter’s Basilica until his funeral that will be held on Saturday morning. The funeral mass will take place on Saturday April 26 at 10 am. in St. Peter’s Square.
Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, Dean of the College of Cardinals will preside at the Mass. It will be concelebrated by Patriarchs, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops and priests from all over the world.
There will be a nine days mourning period and Masses for the repose of the soul of the late Pope Francis.St. Peter’s Basilica will be kept open for the faithful who wish to pay their last respects to the Pope from Wednesday 11 am to midnight, on Thursday from 7 am to midnight and on Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.
