PM Modi’s 99 year old mother casts vote in Gandhinagar

Heeraben Modi, the 99 year old mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast her vote in a polling booth in Raysan village near Gandhinagar city this morning.

This is the second phase of polling for the Assembly elections in Gujarat. Heeraben Modi who entered her 100th year in June this year, lives with her younger son Pankaj Modi in Raysan village near Gandhinagar city. She was taken to the polling booth in a wheelchair by her family members.
Prime Minister Modi is said to have met his mother on Sunday evening and received her blessings. Polling is underway for the second phase of the elections in the north and central regions for 93 assembly seats out of the total 182 seats in the state of Gujarat.
