Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with US tech billionaire Elon Musk on Friday. They discussed various issues ranging from technology, to Starlink and Tesla entering the Indian market.
Elon Musk is a member of US President Donald Trump’s core team. Tesla is working on setting up a manufacturing plant in India to start retail operations in the country.
Starlink, the satellite communications business of SpaceX, is awaiting government approval to begin services in India.Meanwhile, both the US and India are working on a bilateral trade agreement to navigate the tariff situation.
Starlink seems to have received a stronger signal from the government of India and will get an approval for India entry soon.Starlink provides telecom services to more than 100 countries.
