Sunita Shanker’s collection of timeless garments in earthier tones with Ikat and signature Bandhini and Kantha with a pop of colour are in exhibition at 11.30pm on Thursday, November 13th, 2014, at Amethyst, Entrance Next to Corporation Bank, Whites Road, Royapettah, Chennai. Inspired by the rich traditional craft of India-Sunita’s work is a combination of a unique sensibility, especially in tone and texture. They have an earthy ethnicity with modern interpretation. Her work epitomises simplicity with careful detailing, while at the same time pushing forward traditional skills.

We loved every bit of the Burberry Prorsum’s Fall 2014 collection. The vibrant bohemian prints, the flattering use of waist-cinching belts, the unusual artistic boots and Cara Delevigne sashaying down the runway as usual. What we couldn’t get over from the show yet is the perfectly created blanket poncho. Though a tad bit high on the pricing end, the wool and cashmere color check poncho is also available for personal monongramming just like the runway version. So what’s not to fancy about it?
