Coldplay’s Chris Martin in Delhi, plays a surprise gig

Waking up to the news that one of your favourite musicians is in the same country as you and plays a surprise gig at  a cafe in Delhi – is unjust! But of well, lucky are the ones who were taken by surprise at the cafe in Houz Khas. They were entertained as the Coldplay frontman/vocalist took center stage and crooned some of his famous numbers like Paradise, Viva La Vida and Fix You. Vishal Dadlani, the cast of AIB and Frieda Pinto (yep, you read that right!) were all present together at the gig. Vishal and Rohan Joshi (member of AIB) posted photos and videos on their social network accounts.

Launch of AUSTRALIAN FILM SHOWCASE & WEBSITE in Chennai

The Australian Consulate-General in Chennai announced the launch of the ‘Australian Film Showcase & Website’ initiative in South India, starting with the city of Chennai on 12 June 2015. The announcement was made today by Mr Sean Kelly, the Australian Consul-General to South India, at the Australian Consulate-General in Chennai. Veteran actor Ms Suhasini Maniratnam and renowned producer Mr Ramkumar Ganesan were also present at the announcement and expressed their heartfelt support for the initiative.

The Australian Film Showcase initiative aims to introduce Australian feature films to a wide audience in South India and to build links between the Australian and South Indian film industries. After this initial Showcase in Chennai, further Showcases are planned for Hyderabad and Bangalore.
