Balakrishna’s ‘Dictator’ to have a Sankranthi release

Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently shooting in Europe for his 99th flick film ‘Dictator’, directed by Loukhyam’ fame Sriwaas. Titled Dictator, the movie is touted to be an out and out commercial entertainer and the actor has already announced that it will be his most stylish film till date.

The latest we hear about the film is that the makers have fixed January 14th as the release date of the movie. Anjali and Sonal Chauhan are playing the female leads and young composer SS Thaman is handling the music for the film.

Actor Siva Balaji turns producer

Actor Siva Balaji has now shifted gears and has also become a producer and named his production Gagan Magical Frames. The first project under this banner will kick start on September 23 in Hyderabad. This project will be directed by Mahesh Upputuri of Paddanandi Premalo Mari fame. Based on a real life incident, this film also stars Ajay in a prominent role alongside Siva Balaji.

Raai Laxmi to work with Pawan Kalyan

Wishing Pawan Kalyan on his 44th birthday, Raai Laxmi took to her social networking account and revealed that she’s playing an important role in the actor’s forthcoming film Sardaar Gabbar Singh, directed by Bobby. While the glam diva did not reveal her role in the action drama, it is believed that she would hogge the limelight.  Kajal is already playing the female lead in the film.

Ashok exudes confidence over ‘Savaale Samaali’

Actor Ashok Selvan, popular for his work in films such as ‘Soodhu Kavvum’ and ‘Pizza 2’, hopes to become popular among the masses with his forthcoming Tamil comedy ‘Savaale Samaali’. “Post ‘Savaale Samaali’, I’m confident that the masses will love me. I will no longer be an actor loved by the multiplex audience,” Ashok told.

Directed by Satyasiva, the film features Bindu Madhavi in the lead. “I was getting typecast in serious roles. Even if you look at ‘Soodhu Kavvum’, I played a serious character and I hardly laugh in it. That’s when I decided to try my hand at comedy, and ‘Savaale Samaali’ came my way,” he said. Ashok believes “Savaale Samaali” is the kind of film everybody will love.

 

Fans elated with ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ teaser

The makers of the upcoming Telugu action film Sardaar Gabbar Singh unveiled a special teaser of the film on Wednesday to coincide with Pawan Kalyan’s 44th birthday.  The 33-second teaser features a Khaki-clad, gun-toting Pawan Kalyan marching in slow motion with his horse. Fans of the actor are thrilled with Pawan’s look and feels that it’s one of the best teasers in the recent times.

The film, which is being directed by Bobby, also features Kajal Aggarwal, and is jointly produced by Pawan Kalyan and his close friend, corporate honcho Sharath Marrar.

‘Dynamite’ is Tollywood’s first martial arts film

Vishnu Manchu promises never seen before high-octane action in his forthcoming Telugu release “Dynamite”, which he claims is the first martial arts film in the language. Releasing in cinemas on Friday, the film is the official remake Tamil hit “Arima Nambi”.

“It’s an out-and-out action film. It will be Telugu cinema’s first martial arts film. When I say martial arts, it won’t be the kind you see in foreign movies. This will be a very different kind of action derived from a form of martial arts,” Vishnu told. For the role, he even underwent special training in mixed martial arts. He also learnt and performed the stunts without a body double.

India’s first incubator for startups

Minister for IT, K T Rama Rao posted on Facebook prototype images of India’s first incubator for start-ups. The T-Hub is a novel initiative by the Telangana government, which will be inaugurated by Ratan Tata on the 7th of Sept 2015. The images below show what the T-Hub Catalyst building looks like.
This initiative is being launched in partnership with IIIT-Hyderabad, ISB and NALSAR.
