Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti promised to ensure that justice is done in the Kathua rape case wherein an 8 year old girl was raped and brutally murdered. She said that law will take its course and cannot be obstructed by irresponsible actions and statements of a group of people.
She assured that investigations are on the fast track and that justice would be delivered. She said that no other child should suffer like little Ashifa and she has plans to make death penalty mandatory for those who rape minors.This should serve as a deterrent and Ashifa’s case should become the last.
