Drishyam will be the first Malayalam movie to be remade in Indonesian

Producer Antony Perumbavoor recently announced that the blockbuster film, Drishyam is to be made in Indonesian language. This will be the first Malayalam movie to be made in the language. Drishyam which was written and directed by Jeethu Joseph had Mohanlal and Meena in the lead and has been remade in 4 different languages and 2 foreign languages.

Antony Perumbavoor wrote, “We are happy to announce that ‘Drishyam’ has become the first Malayalam movie to be remade into Indonesian language. ‘PT Falcon’ company in Jakarta is presenting the film in Indonesia. Already ‘Drishyam’ has been remade in 4 Indian languages and 2 foreign languages. Not only, ‘Drishya’ is the first Malayalam movie remade to Chinese language. As Mohanlal Sir starring and directed by dear friend Jeethu Joseph, ‘Drishyam’ crosses the boundaries of language and country, I share the joy and pride of making this film with each of you in this moment.”
