We spoke to some such, to understand how far they had gone to shed kilos, and round up some of the craziest, most extreme diets out there. And no, we don’t suggest you try them, but we surely hope you’ll be inspired.

Ali Faraaz, Nutritionist: It was way back in 2010, where I cut my calories to 1100 a day with an intake of the bare proteins, carbs and vitamins required to maintain muscle mass. I would do 3000 skips a day along with 16-20 sets of abs and body weight exercises. I was trying to enter a modelling competition, so needed to lose weight. I lost 12 kilos in three and a half weeks! The problem with such diets is that it makes your body very weak. It is okay if you have a goal, and do it for a short period.
