Delhi Police have registered a case against a Uber auto driver for allegedly misbehaving with a woman journalist in New Delhi. They are trying to trace the driver.
An FIR has been registered under section 509 of the IPC (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman). Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal said that a notice has also been issued to Uber India over the unfortunate incident of molestation of a woman journalist.

The journalist was travelling by an Uber auto to visit her friend in Malviya Nagar when the driver started staring at her from the mirrors. When she objected, he did not stop but turned around and started looking inappropriately at her. She therefore filed a police complaint and tweeted about the incident. The Delhi Women’s Commission swung into action after seeing her tweet.
