A lion attacked and killed a businessman in northwest Namibia. Bernd Kebbel was camping with his family and friends when this incident happened. He left the tent to visit the toilet at a luxury lodge in a remote northwest region of Namibia.

The lion is said to have pounced on Kebbel the minute he left the tent. The other campers rushed to his rescue but by the time they managed to chase the lion, Kebbel had already died.
The Namibian Police spokesperson Elifas Kuwinga said that the officers have visited the scene and are preparing a full report of the incident and it will be submitted in due course.
Kebbel was a well known person in his community and was involved in both philanthropy and wildlife conservation.
The area where the incident took place is known for the population of more than a dozen lion cubs and around 60 adult lions.
