The Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited appointed Anant Ambani as Executive Director of the company for a period of five years beginning on May 1, 2025 in a meeting held on Friday.
He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director and he will now take on executive responsibilities subject to approval by the shareholders of the company.
Anant has been involved in the company’s energy sustainability and Reliance aims to become a net-zero carbon company by 2035. They plan to scale up production of clean fuels, develop enhanced carbon capture technologies, promote circular materials as well as enhance crude to chemicals conversion.
Akash Ambani is the chairman of Reliance’s telecom unit -Jio Telecom from 2022. His twin sister Isha Ambani Piramal leads Reliance’s retail business.Anant Ambani is a graduate of Brown University and has been on the board of Reliance Foundations, the philanthropic arm of the group from September 2022.
