The Kerala Police grilled Bishop Franco Mulakkal who has been accused of rape and sexual assault of a nun for 7 hours. The enquiry would spill over to the next day.
Deputy Superintendent of Police K. Subhash who heads the Special Investigation Team conducted the enquiry at the crime branch office. The bishop had relinquished his administrative responsibility as the bishop of Jalandhar diocese of the Missionaries of Jesus congregation. The police said that the bishop was cooperating with the investigation.
