Cassava at Kochi Marriott presents, “ Kayal Kadal” a unique coastline food promotion from across Kerala. The promotion is spearheaded by our celebrity Chef Saji Alex. Chef Saji went on a discovery tour in search of coastal cuisines to the popular coastlines like Calicut, Trivandrum, Alleppey, Kumarakom, Ernakulam and Kollam. He says, ask any Malayali what his favorite cuisine is and it would mostly be Seafood and that acumen has paved way to curate this festival.

The food festival begins from 5th October till 21 st October 2018 and will be open for dinner between 7 pm till 11 pm. During Chef Saji’s journey through the various coastlines he discovered interesting and unique dishes like the Naadan Kozhi Pirattu from Trivandrum, Ezhuthani Mutton Curry from Kollam, Karimeen Mappas, Njandu Kurumulakittathu, Kakka Erachi Ulathiyathu and more which are all included in the menu of the promotion. The restaurateurs were kind enough at different places to share with him the recipes of these dishes and also showcased the method of cooking which was truly a wonderful insight, say Chef Saji. This is the first ever time a coastline specific promotion is tried out at Cassava and tremendous research has been done to craft this promotion for the people of Kochi.
