Thousands of visitors throng Air India crash site to take selfies near the aircraft wreckage. Residents from across Ahmedabad visited the Air India Dreamliner crash site at the BJ Medical College hostel building in Meghani Nagar to take selfies and record videos.

Many people wanted to take pictures of the tail of the Dreamliner aircraft lodged in the hostel building. More than 240 people were killed in the accident. The sweltering heat of more than 40 degrees did not deter people from visiting the site of the crash.
Police personnel have been posted at multiple points to manage the crowd. The police are having a very tough time controlling the crowd as people are visiting the site in large numbers. They are not permitted to use force against them but are informing them to leave as entry to the place is restricted.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the site and he described the crash as ”heartbreaking beyond words”
A sole survivor from the crash Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national of Indian origin is being treated in hospital.
