Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14 year old left hand batsman from Rajasthan Royals team smashed a 35 ball hundred and became the youngest man in the history of Twenty20 cricket to hit a century.
He also scripted history on Monday April 28, 2025 by hitting the second fastest century in the history of the Indian Premier League. The 14 year old lad from Bihar achieved this feat during a match against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
He got his 50 in just 17 balls and 100 off 35 balls. Chris Gayle from Royal Challengers Bengaluru still holds the record for hittest the fastest hundred in IPL in just 30 balls. This feat was achieved by him against PWI in Bengaluru in 2013.
Vaibhav’s batting was one of the most exhilarating batting performances in the IPL. His century included 11 sixes and 7 fours. He was dismissed for 101 Vaibhav who made a mark in domestic cricket last season was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore.
