The Cancer Institute Adyar,supported by HCL Foundation, held a workshop to mark Cancer Awareness Day yesterday. This workshop aimed at empowering and educating women about cancer prevention and its early detection.
Out of one million cases reported each year,two thirds of the cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage making recovery difficult with less chances of survival. Actress Gautami Tadimalla who is a cancer survivor, participated in the event .
