Tiger Woods suffers leg injuries in car wreck

Golf champion Tiger Woods has been hospitalized due to severe leg injuries sustained in a car wreck. His car careened off a road and rolled down a hillside. He had to be rescued by rescue crews from the crash wreckage. The injuries are not life threatening and Woods was conscious and able to communicate with the rescue personnel. He was rushed by an ambulance to the Harbour-UCLA Medical Center.


Woods was the sole occupant of the car when it crashed near the suburban community of Rolling Hills Estates.He was wearing his seatbelt and appeared calm. He suffered injuries on both his legs and they are reported to be compound fractures. He is reported to be in a stable condition.
It is not clear as to what effect the accident may have on his golfing career. He is considered to be the greatest golfer of his generation. He is the only modern pro to win all four major golf titles in succession- the US Open, British Open, PGA championship and the Masters title.
The cause of the accident is under investigation and the sheriff stated that the weather was not a factor. Video footage shows his dark gray 2021 Genesis sport utility vehicle badly crumpled and lying on its side near the bottom of the hillside with its windows smashed. Fire department officials stated that emergency personnel pulled Woods from the vehicle through the front windshield after the glass and the surrounding frame were cut out and removed.
News of Woods’ accident has sent shock waves through the sports world and people are praying for him to recover at the earliest.
