Operation executive Apoorva Agarwal says that “The art of being able to tread the fine line between working and giving your child the right time can be a very challenging task. For me, the societal challenges are minimal because of the ecosystem around me – a very supportive and hands-on husband, always helpful mother-in-law and mother, and an understanding workplace. In spite of all these, there are some challenges because Myra wants my attention all the time which I can give, saying no to her always breaks my heart. The toddler age group is where they crave knowledge and there is a nagging conscience about not being able to spend enough time with her in her formative years. Sometimes due to stress I get mad at her and feel terribly guilty after. But at the end of the day, she is a very understanding and independent child. Then just before she falls asleep, she says “Mummy can you hug me please?” and I know all is forgiven.”
