National Award-winning cinematographer and director KV Anand passed away recently. The loss came as a huge shock to the Kollywood industry and his fans. He has given super hit films and one such film is Ko in which Jiiva played a photojournalist in the newspaper and the film had Karthika Nair in the lead role. Now the unseen stills of Simbu when he shot a few portions of Ko have found their way on the internet. It shows him crying over the bloodied body of actor Ajmal who played the main villain.
Simbu due to creative differences opted out of Ko at the last moment when the crew was moving to China for a major shoot schedule. KV Anand approached Jiiva to play the role of the fiery photojournalist and he jumped on board immediately and replaced Simbu. The film became a major turning point for Jiiva and it still remains his career-best in terms of commercial success.
