Royal family delighted as Harry and Meghan welcome baby girl

Queen Elizabeth II and the entire royal family is delighted to hear about Prince Harry’s newborn baby girl. They have all congratulated Harry and Meghan. The baby has been named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor. She was born on Friday, June 4th at 11.40 a.m. at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz (3.48 kg). Both mother and child are doing well and are said to be healthy.


This is the second child for Harry and Meghan. They have a 2 year old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor. The newborn will be the monarch’s 11th great grandchild. She is named after the Queen who was affectionately nicknamed Lillibet by her family and her late grandmother, Princess Diana. Lillibet was used when Queen Elizabeth was a toddler and could not pronounce her own name properly.
Prince William and his wife Kate tweeted separately from their Kensington Palace Twitter account to say, ”We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent a message of goodwill to Harry and Meghan.
Meanwhile Harry and Meghan who are now on parental leave have posted the happy news on their official website and thanked everyone for their love and prayers received during this special time.
