Notice served to cricketer Yuvaraj Singh over unregistered villa in Goa

The Goa Tourism Department has issued a notice to former cricketer Yuvaraj Singh for not registering his villa in Morjim with the tourism department. He was called to appear before the authority for a personal hearing on December 8th to defend his interest.


Proceedings have been initiated under the Registration of Tourist Trade Act for failure to register the villa situated in Varchawada, Morjim with the department. Yuvaraj Singh is said to have tweeted that he would be hosting an exclusive stay at his Goa home. According to the deputy director of the tourism department, any person who intends to operate a hotel or a guest house has to apply for registration to the prescribed authority.
Therefore notice was issued to Yuvaraj Singh as to why penal action should not be taken against him under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act 1982.
