How did you develop an entrepreneurial spirit at such a young age?
My parents instilled in me the value of being financially self-sufficient. Like other youngsters, I needed a boost to get my career started. I learned all of my attributes as an entrepreneur from people who have mentored me. Every endeavour is an opportunity for me to learn more. After completing my initial projects, I wanted to show myself and everyone else that I was capable of much more. You gain confidence by earning your own money. I was inspired after receiving my first paycheck. Finding what you enjoy doing is how the majority of people begin their ventures.
What were the most significant obstacles you experienced in the early phases of your venture?
The sudden spotlight on my life and profession was one of the challenges I experienced when I first began. It took some time for me to adjust. Of course, every entrepreneur may confront difficulties from time to time. Keep going, is my advice to everyone running a business. Never give up. No one can faze you if you believe in your work and what you’re doing. Don’t let haters and unimportant comments get to you. Surround yourself with people who will support you.
As an advocate of mental health, do you have any advice for people who have had a long year?
In my opinion, you should prioritize your mental wellness. It’s something I’ve put off for a long time. We remember to exercise and eat well, but we forget that our mental health is just as vital. Therapy has made a huge difference in my life and the subject of therapy is no longer taboo. Reach out to a mental health professional if you’ve had a hard year or certain things are stressing you out and you feel the need to talk to someone.
“I am strong enough to deal with whatever life throws at me, and each setback has only served to strengthen me!”
What drives you to persevere even when things are tough?
I’ve come a long way; I never imagined I’d be here just a few years ago. I constantly doubted myself. However, here I am! I keep surprising myself every single time. We’re all capable of considerably more than we believe we are. I enjoy the feeling of finishing a project and it’s an incredible feeling to know that your work has pleased your clients; it’s what keeps me going!
What are your thoughts on entrepreneurship for young people, particularly in an economy where jobs are harder to find?
If you’re stuck, my recommendation is to take a step back and re-evaluate. Taking a break has helped me think things through and make better decisions. Because the economy has shifted, a few of us may need to alter our plans in some respects. Never panic. Always go with your gut instinct.
Do you think it is easy to be an entrepreneur?
Running a business, no matter how big or small, is never simple. This is why it’s critical to enjoy your profession, and you’ll need the motivation to keep continuing and pushing forward. Each project I’ve worked on has given me a great experience. It has shaped me into the person and entrepreneur that I am today.
What sparked your passion for beauty and led to your desire to launch a beauty line?
When I went to London for my college in 2013, I noticed that most students in my university always had a full face of fabulous makeup on. It was there that I discovered my passion for makeup. I gradually began researching and purchasing high-quality makeup. I adore how self-assured I feel when I wear makeup. I want to launch a cosmetics line since makeup sparks excitement in me. I am confident that I will be able to offer something unique to the market. We’ll have to wait and see!
