Congress MLA S.Vijayadharani was evicted from the Assembly for defying the Speaker and obstructing the proceedings of the house. She attempted to raise an issue regarding her constituency in Kanyakumari district pertaining to grants for the Agricultural Department.
However the Speaker refused to take up the matter immediately. She demanded that it be taken up at once. The Speaker then warned the MLA that action would be taken if she continued to obstruct the proceedings. After repeated warnings, she was finally evicted and as a sign of protest,all the Congress members staged a walkout.
