Manmohan Singh tests positive for the virus

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was tested positive for Covid-19 and has been hospitalized at the AIIMS. He received both doses of Covaxin, the first dose on March 4 and the second on April 3. He was made to take a Covid test as he had a fever and after he tested positive, he was shifted to hospital as a matter of precaution.


As the news of his admission into hospital began to spread around, get well messages began pouring in. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished him good health and a speedy recovery.
Some of the others who wished him a speedy recovery include Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Former Union Minister P. Chidambaram, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Former Prime Minister HD Devegowda, DMK Chief MK Stalin, Actor and activist Swara Bhasker.
Dr, Singh had participated in a meeting with top Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday regarding the coronavirus situation in the country and he urged Prime Minister Modi to take steps to make the vaccine available to all people.
