In a bizarre case, a man from Rampur in UP lodged a police complaint against his wife and in-laws as they celebrated Pakistan’s win over India in the T20 World Cup match held recently.
The man named Ishan Miya, a resident of Azim Nagar of Rampur alleged that his wife Rabia Shamsi and her family burst crackers and even put up a WhatsApp status to celebrate Pakistan’s victory.
The FIR was filed in Ganj Police Station under Section 153-A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008.
According to the FIR, both the husband and wife are living separately. The wife lives with her parents and has filed a dowry case against her husband.
