The High Court of Madras has the highest number of women judges. There are currently 13 women judges on its bench. The Delhi High Court comes next with 12 women judges and Telangana comes third with 10 women judges. The fourth position is shared by the High Courts of Kerala and Punjab and Haryana with 7 women judges each.

However, 5 out of the 25 High Courts do not even have a single woman judge. The Chief Justice of India NV Ramana has been vigorously advocating for the cause. According to him, women should demand 50 % reservation, not as charity but as a matter of right. He hinted that he will take up the matter with the Collegium.
The Supreme Court currently has 4 women judges which is its highest ever. Totally, there are 94 women judges out of 713 judges and it works out to be 13.18 %.
