Kerala Covid Numbers rising rapidly and reaches TPR of 33.07%

Kerala recorded 22946 cases on a single day with just 69373 tests

With recent political rallies and gatherings breaking all Covid protocols, it came as no surprise that Kerala is witnessing a massive increase in the number of cases. The TPR recorded was 33.07% inspite of doing only 69373 cases today. Trivandrum recorded the highest number of cases in a single day crossing the 5000 mark and Ernakulam recorded the second highest number crossing the 4000 mark today. Currently 2,41,087 active cases have been recorded in the state with 711 hospitalisations. All public gatherings have been cancelled in Trivandrum and Ernakulam following the collectors’ orders and family gatherings of weddings and funerals have been limited to 50. Schools have been closed temporarily and vaccine campaigns for children above 15 are in progress.
