India to receive the Sputnik vaccine by May 1st


Russia’s Sputnik V Covid Vaccine is expected to reach the country by weekend

With severe vaccine shortage across the country and the pandemic wrecking havoc, more and more foreign countries have offered to help India in its Covid battle. Singapore and Riyadh are sending oxygen supplies and countries like Britain, America and Germany have promised to extend all medical aid to India. Now Russia’s Sputnik V Covid Vaccine is expected to arrive in India by May 1st, 2021. “The first doses will be delivered on May 1,” said Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia’s RDIF Sovereign Wealth fund which is marketing the vaccine globally. Though more details are yet to be revealed, India hopes to scale up the Vaccine production to beat the pandemic.
