Raw Mango

About Raw Mango: Raw Mango adapts from traditional designs to create handwoven textiles that are simple, sophisticated and distinctly contemporary. Their choice of colours and designs are rooted in Indian philosophy and tradition, giving freedom to imagine a new platform for both. The Raw Mango aesthetic and philosophy has begun to revitalize an entire community with new life for a traditional form.

About the collection: Raw Mango has added a touch of brocade to their ensembles to add to the festive feel. Be it the Afridi’ forest green Varanasi silk brocade jacket features that features floral motifs inspired by the bold patterns seen in Persian carpets or the Osmani’ red silk kurta that is inspired by the silhouettes of Central Asia. The Kurta features a lightly gathered yoke and ‘Zardozi’ embroidery that highlights the silhouette, which is paired with ‘Farooqui’ red Varanasi silk brocade pant.

Aisha Rao

About Aisha Rao: Aisha Rao the Hyderabad based design house has a primary vision that lies in creating unique up-cycled luxury occasion wear. Aisha’s signature largely relies on the appliqué technique whereby fabric waste comes together in sizeable motifs and bold colours with a laborious overlay of aari, zardozi, and macrame to create an eclectic mix of delicate and maximalist aesthetics.

About the collection: Aisha’s lehengas are must haves for every Indian bride alligned with millennial sensibilities yet yearning for tradition on her big day. The collection has the perfect balance between contemporary designs and Indian craftsmanship, with a variety of unique designs perfect for the wedding season. Made with excellent quality fabrics, every piece of clothing has something special that makes the bride and the bridesmaid feel and look her best on their special days.
