Mr. C.V. Jacob was a revolutionary in the spice oleoresins industry
Synthite Industries Pvt Ltd is the world’s largest supplier of value added spice products. The company contributes to nearly half of India’s export of spice oleoresins. From humble beginnings in the 1970s, Mr. CV Jacob worked hard to put Kerala as the frontrunner in the spice route trail. 
He was the director of CIAL and also former Vice-Chairman of the Spices Board. He passed away peacefully at his home in Kolenchery on Sunday. The 87-year-old leaves behind his wife, Aleyamma Jacob, sons, Dr Viju Jacob, Managing Director of Synthite Industries Private Ltd and Aju Jacob, Director (Strategic Operations), daughters Elvy Ninan, Silvy Mani, Minna George and Minnie Sajeev .
