A second FIR has been filed by the Electronic City Police in Bengaluru against Hitesha Chandranee, the make-up artist who accused a Zomato delivery executive of assault. This FIR is based on the complaint filed by the delivery executive named Kamaraj who accused the woman of abusing him and hitting him with her sandal. The police have booked Hitesha under Sections 341(wrongful restraint), 355(assault or criminal force), 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

The complaint given by Kamaraj alleges that as the delivery was a bit delayed, Hitesha abused him, stopped him from leaving her house and hit his left hand repeatedly with her sandals. Earlier, based on Hitesha’s complaint that the delivery executive not only brought the food late but abused her and punched her nose, Kamaraj was booked under sections 504 (intentional insult) and 325( voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of the IPC. Pending investigation, Kamaraj was suspended from duty.
Kamaraj alleged that Hitesha called him a “slave” and hurt herself while hitting him with her sandals. He further stated that she received the food but refused to pay for it as it was delivered late.
Netizens on hearing both sides of the story, have sought a thorough inquiry and demanded that action be taken against Hitesha if she had made a false complaint.
