Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that a prototype of a humanoid robot -dubbed as the Tesla Bot – will be ready next year.
He made this announcement during Tesla’s AI Day and disclosed that the robot will use an artificial intelligence system that is based on the self-driving tech in Tesla cars.

The robot will be friendly and can navigate through a world of humans and perform dangerous, repetitive and boring tasks. The Tesla Bot will definitely bring down the cost of labour but according to Musk, Tesla will not make use of it to assist with the company’s manufacturing.
The robot is expected to weigh 125 pounds and have a height of 5 feet 8 inches. It will have human- level hands and will have the ability to carry 45 pounds, lift 150 pounds and run upto 5 miles per hour.
This will be a boon for those who don’t like monotonous tasks like grocery shopping etc.
