The Special Court directed the CBI to continue the investigation into the death of former Thiruchengode Deputy Superintendent of Police R Vishnupriya. The Court rejected the closure report of the case and asked the CBI to continue the probe with certain specific aspects.
The investigation is to be completed within a period of six months. A petition against the closure of the case was filed by M Ravi and R.Kalaiselvi, the parents of Vishnupriya in May. Based on this petition, the Chief Judicial Magistrate S. Nagarajan in charge of the CBI special court, ordered the investigation to continue.
