It had been allegedly that the actress lost her rule due to her political affiliation

Rumours had been doing the rounds that actress Ahaana Krishna had lost the role in Brahmam due to her political affiliation. The film which is reported to be a remake of ‘Andhadun’ has Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mamtha Mohandas and Unni Mukundan in lead roles. Though Ahaana had auditioned for the role, after the look test,  director Ravi K Chandran felt that she did not fit into the role which is why she was not given the offer. But it was being rumoured that Prithviraj was behind the decision. The director issued a statement clarifying that the actor had nothing to do with the decision and that Ahaana’s political affiliation was not the reason for her not being a part of the project.

Ahaana also cleared the air saying that, “Keep me out of it, I am not even in the picture. I have not blamed anyone; whatever is being said in this drama is some other people’s opinion….I have always declared that I’ve been a huge fan of Prithviraj from the early days. So don’t say anything otherwise, maddeningly.”

Ahaana will be seen next in Wayfarer films’ ‘Adi’ with Shine Tom Chacko which is directed by Prasobh Vaijayan.  ‘Nancy Rani’ is another of her projects which is being directed by Joseph Manu Joseph and the cast includes has Aju Varghese, Lal, Druvan, Basil Joseph, Vishak Nair and Arjun Asokan.
