The world’s richest woman Liliane Bettencourt who suffered from dementia died at the ripe old age of 94. Liliane was L’Oreal’s principal shareholder and was the 14th richest person in the world according to Forbes magazine with an estimated wealth of $39.5 billion in March 2017.


She lived a secluded life and was rarely seen in public. She was declared unfit to run her own affairs in 2011 after she was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She then left the L’Oreal board in 2012.It is rumoured that people from her own company took advantage of her failing mental health and were charged with exploiting her.
