World’s oldest woman

Kane Tanaka a 116 year old Japanese woman has been recorded as the world’s oldest living person in the Guinness Book of World Records. She currently lives in a Nursing Home in Fukuoka. She was born on January 2nd 1903 and was the 7th among 8 children. She was married to Hideo Kanaka  in.1922. They had four children and the couple adopted another child.  Kane loves playing the board game  Othello.

She wakes up by 6: 00 a.m. She enjoys studying mathematics. The previous oldest living person was also a Japanese woman  Chiyo Miyako who died in July 2018  at the age of 117. Incidentally the  oldest person prior to Miyako was also from Japan.
