The world premiere of Attakkalari Repertory Company’s latest production Bhinna Vinyasa will be at Gurunanak Bhavan on 06 February as part of Attakkalari India Biennial 2017. Choreographed by the festival director of AIB and artistic director of Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Jayachandran Palazhy and the repertory members, Bhinna Vinyasa explores metaphysical journeys prompted by internal and external forces.
Centre-Stage is the main attraction of the 10-day dance festival, presenting cutting-edge contemporary dance and digital performances from countries across the world like the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Korea, Poland, South Africa, Finland, and India. The work by Palazhy traverses the notions of self though a continuous process of becoming and disappearing, where the coordinates of time and space appear elastic.
The evening will see marvel given rise to by a confluence of music from different backgrounds, digital experimentation and dance par excellence.
