Womanathon” A Marathon to Celebrate Women FIRST TIME IN INDIA, a simultaneous RUN at 3 cities Same Date, Same Time, Same Cause. 

Womanathon was held simultaneously across Bengaluru, Chennai & Hyderabad cities.

In its 2nd year running, to celebrate Women and pledge RESPECT for women.

Be it our mother, sister, friend, wife or daughter. She completes us.

The Run is our pledge to Respect Women and support to create a safe society.

Quanta-G, the company that’s organizing this RUN, is a regular events and experience company but unique due to the partners, Dinesh & Nithyashree’s thrive to create socially responsible events bringing together large number of people to showcase unity or highlight an impending issue.

“The people who can do most to improve the situation of so many women and girls against sexual violence are in fact MEN” says Dinesh Raj of Quanta-G.

Running is the world’s largest mass sport. Using this platform to convey a simple yet strong message on a Women’s day was the aim of Womanathon.

“Being safe overtakes all other celebration that any women wants” says the dynamic woman Nithyashree of Quanta-G.

The Run is our pledge to Respect Women and help to create a safe society.

Venue: YMCA Grounds Nandanam Chennai

Time: 6 AM (Chennai, Hyderabad & Bengaluru)

Respecting a Women is not a choice, feels Vimala Britto chairperson of Seek Foundation, a not-for-profit organization which is the beneficiary of the proceeds from this fund raiser Run.

Focusing on empowering women through education and knowledge of their basic rights is the core project of Seek Foundation.

Womanathon plans to conduct such RUNs across more number of cities next year to commemorate Women’s day and get many more to participate.

Looking at the large turnout at all 3 cities, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, there is a confidence that our society will always be gender equal.

Some dedicated the run to their mother, some for the children and some for the special day.

Many runners felt good to run with their family and celebrate the day.
