Indulge in the finest wines and pair them with delectable Italian foods. Bengaluru Marriott Hotel, Whitefield will be hosting renowned sommelier Viraj Sawant, who will bring his wine and food pairing expertise to the hotel’s specialty Italian restaurant, Alto Vino from August 22-30, 2016. Head Italian Chef at the property, Chef Marou and Viraj Sawant will come together to offer a luxurious fine dining experience to guests which will couples the original flavors of Italy with the most appropriate and refined wine selections.

Alto Vino will be launching a special menu during the course of the sommelier’s visit, which will be specially designed to stimulate the taste buds of guests with a delectable palate of Italian cuisine paired with wine. The restaurant, Alto Vino, endeavors to offer the most authentic Italian experience to its guests and draws inspiration from Italy’s rich culture, which is presented beautifully through its varied cuisine. With the wine pairing initiative, Alto Vino will now attempt to indulge guests in an ambient experience that will bring Italy’s vibrant and elegant food culture to Bengaluru Marriott Hotel, Whitefield.

Chef Marou, the Head Chef at Alto Vino, said on the side-lines of the sommelier’s visit, “I am of the opinion that each food is a reflection of the culture where it originated from and chefs always brings an element of their culture to the food they prepare. That’s what I attempt to do at Alto Vino with each dish I present to a guest. Wine pairing with food is an essential part of Italian cuisine and we hope that through the course of these nine days, we can offer guests the perfect fine dining experience.“

Viraj Sawant, who will be visiting Alto Vino, will help Chef Marou in making this experience possible by giving special recommendations and expert advice in the kind of wine that will go well with each dish. He will also lend his experience and educate interested guests in the art of wine pairing and his experiences throughout his career.
